Arsenal has been offered the opportunity to sign Christian Eriksen to a deal worth less than the £16.9 million Inter Milan paid Tottenham Hotspur only 10 months ago.

Eriksen left Spurs for Inter in January and has quickly fallen out of favor under Antonio Conte.

Spurs have privately ruled out any possibility of re-signing Eriksen.

Arsenal has struggled for creativity this season.

Giovanni Reyna has signed a long-term contract with Borussia Dortmund through 2025.

Reyna received interest from clubs in both the Premier League and La Liga, but he was focused on remaining with Dortmund.

"BVB are a big club that can challenge for titles and are in all the important competitions," Reyna said. "Young players in particular have the chance to develop here.

"I have already learned a lot in Dortmund and I want to learn a lot more in future. I look forward to being with BVB in the long term."

Pep Guardiola has signed a contract extension with Manchester City until 2023.

Guardiola's deal was set to run out at the end of the current season.

"Ever since I arrived at Manchester City I have been made to feel so welcome in the club and in the city itself, from the players, the staff, the supporters, the people of Manchester and the chairman and owner," Guardiola said.

"Since then we have achieved a great deal together, scored goals, won games and trophies, and we are all very proud of that success. I have everything I could possibly want to do my job well and I am humbled by the confidence the owner, chairman, Ferran [Soriano] and Txiki [Begiristain] have shown in me to continue for two more years after this season.

"The challenge for us is to continue improving and evolving, and I am very excited and about helping Manchester City do that."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retains the support of Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward despite sitting 14th in the table.

"While there is still hard work ahead to achieve greater consistency, we remain absolutely committed to the positive path we are on under Ole as the team continues to develop," said Woodward, speaking as the club released their latest financial results.

"We miss playing in front of our fans and we are working hard together with our governing bodies and relevant authorities to ensure that fans can safely return as soon as possible."

If Manchester United parts ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager, sources say Mauricio Pochettino would not be the only option they consider to replace him.

Pochettino has been out of work since he was fired by Tottenham Hotspur a year ago.

Julian Nagelsmann of RB Leipzig would also be considered though that would be a more complicated hire in the middle of a season.

Sergio Ramos and Real Madrid have opened discussions on a contract extension. 

Ramos is currently signed through June 2021, which means he would become free to discuss a contract with rival teams beginning on January 1st.

The feeling from those initial talks is positive, and there is a mutual desire for Ramos to sign an extension.

Ramos, 34, would like to remain with Real Madrid until June 2024.

Florentino Perez said Ramos "will be here for life" after Madrid won La Liga in July.

Atletico Madrid has signed Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia on a four-year deal.

Kondogbia will replace Thomas Partey, who went to Arsenal on deadline day.

Atletico can bring in Kondogbia outside the transfer window because La Liga rules grant a club 30 days to find a replacement when a player's buyout clause has been paid.

Bayern Munich have withdrawn an extension offer to David Alaba, who could now leave the club on a free transfer in 2021 with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus interested.

Bayern reportedly offered Alaba a five-year deal with an annual salary of around €11 million, which could have gone up to €15 million with bonuses.

"We have a new situation since this weekend," Bayern president Herbert Hainer said on BR Blickpunkt Sport on Sunday. "We submitted to David and his advisor some time ago what we think was a very good offer.

"During the last meeting we had said we wanted clarity by the end of October. We did not hear anything until yesterday and we contacted his advisor.

"The answer was that the offer was still unsatisfactory and we should think about it again. We then decided to take the offer completely off the table. This means there is no longer an offer."
